    The Role

    We are seeking a part-time Assistant Project Manager on a contract basis to support a growing portfolio of education improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who excels in dynamic environments and is motivated by meaningful work in the PreK–12 sector. The Assistant Project Manager will support scheduling, communication, document management, and project tracking, helping ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently across multiple workstreams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administrative Support

    • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate Zoom/Google Meet links.

    • Track and follow up on outstanding communication with schools, coaches, and partners.

    • Draft and edit professional emails, memos, and documents.

    • Maintain organized digital files and folders in Google Drive.

    Project Management Support

    • Assist with tracking project deliverables, timelines, and deadlines in project management tools.

    • Prepare meeting agendas, summaries, and follow-up notes.

    • Support the planning of school visits, virtual touchpoints, and professional learning sessions.

    • Help collect and organize documents, photos, and materials from coaches.

    Communication & Coordination

    • Communicate professionally with school leaders, consultants, coaches, and internal team members.

    • Monitor incoming questions and requests and direct them to the appropriate team members.

    • Assist in gathering content for social media or marketing when needed.

    Operational Support

    • Assist with basic invoicing or tracking consulting hours.

    • Help maintain updated internal systems, trackers, and templates.

    • Provide additional administrative support as needed in a growing organization.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication.

    • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

    • Experience with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar).

    • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday) is a plus.

    • Experience in education, nonprofits, or consulting environments is a plus, but not required.

    • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems.

    • Comfort working independently in a remote environment across time zones.

    • Professional and friendly communication style.

    Details

    • Part-time, contract role (15-20 hours/week to start, with potential to expand).

    • Remote, with occasional travel for in-person meetings or events (if feasible).

    • Preference for candidates based in Honolulu

    • Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
